James Boss is Executive Vice President, Head of Client Success and Sales at Informative Research, where he leads the company’s client engagement and revenue strategy with a focus on delivering measurable value to customers. With 18 years of experience in the mortgage and financial technology industries, Boss works closely with lenders to understand their credit and verification needs, helping them drive efficiency, reduce per-loan costs, and strengthen overall performance. He is responsible for client retention, revenue growth, and building executive relationships that support long-term partnership success.

Prior to joining Informative Research, Boss held a series of progressive sales leadership roles at Factual Data, culminating in Vice President of National Sales. Throughout his tenure, he developed deep expertise in client relationships, sales strategy, and team leadership, consistently driving growth and performance. Known for his analytical approach, Boss brings a highly data-driven mindset to his work, leveraging insights and scenario-based thinking to inform decision-making and optimize outcomes.

Boss is guided by a leadership philosophy rooted in attention to detail, emphasizing that small things are often the difference-makers in achieving strong results. “One of the best pieces of career advice came from an early manager who told me, ‘pay attention to the details,’” said Boss. “At the time, it seemed simple, but it has stuck with me throughout my career. I’ve learned that the small things, such as preparation, follow-though, listening closely and executing consistently, often make the biggest difference. Paying attention to the details builds trust, improves outcomes and sets you apart. That advice has shaped how I approach my work, lead teams and strive for excellence every day.”

Outside of work, Boss is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys boating, hunting, fishing, and hiking. A former endurance athlete, he has completed multiple marathons and triathlons, including the Ironman Florida, and placed third in his age group in his last full marathon.
