Scott Horn

Chief Innovation Officer

Scott Horn is Chief Operating Officer at Informative Research, where he leads business operations and drives the company’s continued evolution as a technology-first provider of credit and verification solutions. With nearly two decades of experience in software development, technology leadership, and operational strategy, Horn has played a central role in transforming Informative Research into a scalable, data-driven platform that supports lenders across the full loan lifecycle.

Horn joined Informative Research in 2007 as a Software Architect and quickly advanced to Vice President of Information Technology before becoming Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he led the development of the company’s core technology infrastructure, converting manual processes into automated systems that significantly increased processing capacity, reduced turnaround times, and improved operational efficiency. He also helped design and implement a unified, single-stack platform that integrates a wide range of credit and verification solutions, enabling clients to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve performance. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding the company’s product offerings and supporting substantial business growth.

Horn is guided by a focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement, with a commitment to building solutions that simplify complex processes and deliver meaningful value to clients. He began his career at Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt), where he advanced rapidly in technology roles. He holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Augustana College. Horn is also actively involved in his community, participating with Habitat for Humanity and other charitable initiatives.

Outside of work, Horn enjoys teaching his daughters to play chess, and he takes pride in his grilling abilities. He once earned recognition for the best hamburger in his neighborhood. He has a long-standing (and entirely one-sided) rivalry with a neighbor over lawn striping patterns, and has invented a new cross-hatching design he insists will revolutionize lawn care.
