Toby Foster

VP of Client Success

Toby Foster is Vice President of Client Success at Informative Research, where he advises lenders on credit, verification, and workflow efficiency, with a focus on reducing total cost per loan through automation and analytics. With more than 30 years of experience in financial services and mortgage banking, Foster brings a unique dual perspective to his role, combining deep lender-side expertise with a passion for driving executive-level relationships and long-term account growth.

A second-generation mortgage banker who grew up in the business, Foster spent 29 years in mortgage originations, wholesale, and correspondent lending before transitioning to the vendor side. He began as a Correspondent Account Manager at SunTrust, followed by leadership roles as Divisional Vice President at Franklin American Mortgage Company and Area Sales Manager/Branch Manager at Acopia Home Loans. He later served as a Correspondent Account Manager at First Community Mortgage and as Regional Director for Lenders One Mortgage Cooperative in Atlanta. In August 2023, he joined Informative Research as Vice President of Client Success, where he applies his lender-side perspective to support clients with credit, verification, and technology solutions.

Foster is a former President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) and remains an active participant in industry events and leadership forums. He is currently pursuing the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation and continues to support industry and community initiatives through local, state, and national MBA involvement. His leadership approach is shaped by the best career advice he ever received: "Focus on relationships over transactions. If you consistently deliver value and do what you say you're going to do, the business will follow."

Outside of work, family is everything to Foster. He has been married for 29 years, is the proud father of two, and "Dad" to his pup Sadie, a Blue Heeler/Yellow Lab mix. He enjoys traveling with his wife, especially to coastal destinations.
