Steve Schulz

Head of Product Management

Steve Schulz is the Executive Vice President of Product Management at Informative Research, where he oversees the company’s full product portfolio and leads strategy to ensure solutions align with client needs while driving revenue growth, market expansion, and competitive differentiation. With more than 22 years of industry experience spanning product management, sales, and marketing, he translates market demands into impactful, scalable solutions.

Prior to joining Informative Research, Schulz held a series of senior leadership roles at Equifax Workforce Solutions, where he managed enterprise client relationships, led new business acquisition efforts, and oversaw large-scale product portfolios, including a suite exceeding $130 million in annual recurring revenue. He also served as Product Strategy Leader at Lenders One Mortgage Cooperative, where he managed a broad portfolio of solutions, launched new products, and helped shape the organization’s strategic roadmap through market analysis and customer-driven insights. Earlier in his career, he held corporate communications and public relations roles at First American Financial Corporation.

Schulz has been recognized as a 2025 HousingWire Tech Trendsetter and is a Pragmatic Institute Certified Product Manager. He is guided by a customer-first philosophy, grounded in the belief that successful products are defined by the outcomes they deliver.

“People don’t want a quarter-inch drill. They want a quarter-inch hole,” Schulz said, referencing Harvard professor Theodore Levitt. “Customers buy outcomes, not products.”

Outside of work, Schulz is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting, and hiking. A father to two boys and a former youth sports coach, he is a dedicated Illinois Fighting Illini fan, and passionate about his hometown Chicago Cubs and Bears.
