November 1, 2005, Informative Research, a leading independent mortgage credit reporting agency, announced the addition of two new features to its Web Credit System. The two new features include the ability to remove a borrower or co-borrower from a credit report and the ability to pull itemized management reports. These new features provide for a quicker turn around time and are easy for loan professionals to access at
their own convenience.
To remove a borrower or co-borrower, the user simply pulls up the credit report in Informative Research’s web credit system and selects the ‘remover borrow, co-borrower’ tab. The user then selects which borrower they would like removed from the report and a new report showing credit information for only one person is generated. The user then has access to the new, one-borrower report, as well as the original report that
features both a borrower and co-borrower, both of which can be re-issued through Fannie Mae and several other automated underwriting engines.
“We feel that this feature will make it easier for loan officers to work with borrowers,” says Jeff Lau, Marketing Director at Informative Research. “If a loan officer finds that an individual can qualify on their own, they user can go into the website, split the report and reissue the new report at their own convenience, without having to call a customer service representative.
Another new feature added to the Informative Research’s web credit system is the ability to pull itemized management reports that show a client’s billing for the past 90 days. The reports can be pulled for specific groups or departments, or can be pulled based on individual users. The reports show detailed price breakdowns for each credit report that a user has pulled, no matter which interface they pulled it from. The
new management report function allows users to view real-time billing at any time.
“One of the greatest benefits of having real-time billing through the management reports is that the loan professional knows how much to collect for credit services at closing,” said Tony D’Eccliss, Vice President of Sales at Informative Research. “This means that there are not out of pocket expenses for the originator.”
