Informative Research Arms Mortgage Professionals
With New Tool to Close Loans When Interest Rates Are on
the Rise
LONG BEACH, Calif., CAMB Annual Convention
and Expo, Aug. 6 – Informative Research (IR), a leading
mortgage credit reporting agency, announced today that IR
customers have a new solution that advises mortgage professionals
how they may dramatically raise a borrower’s credit
score.
CreditXpert® has developed several
solutions for use by lending partners and credit providers,
and Informative Research currently offers two of those solutions
to its customers: CreditXpert Essentials™ and the
What-If Simulator™. Informative Research customers
can use these tools to analyze a borrower’s actual
mortgage credit file and determine the areas that have the
greatest potential to affect that specific consumer’s
credit score. IR believes that mortgage professionals will
not only be able to close more loans with this service,
but also provide their borrowers with better loan packages
and build repeat and referral business.
“One of our first users of CreditXpert’s
What-If Simulator needed to increase a credit score by three
or four points in order to qualify a borrower for a loan
package,” said Jeff Lau, Director of Marketing, Informative
Research. “The CreditXpert product, along with IR’s
Credit Score Review re-scoring service enabled the loan
specialist to increase the credit score by 55 points. The
borrower was able to qualify for a better interest rate
and a better overall loan package. Informative Research
believes in introducing products that can have a real impact
on a borrower’s credit file, such as CreditXpert’s
solutions did in this situation.”
Informative Research offers two products
from CreditXpert: the CreditXpert Essentials, and the What-If
Simulator. The What-If Simulator provides an excellent starting
point for previewing how different actions and combinations
of actions could affect the borrower’s credit score.
The best action varies according to the unique make-up of
each individual applicant’s credit file. Traditional
advice of paying off a credit card may not add enough points
to a user’s score, and the What-If Simulator helps
uncover the choices that will create the biggest impact.
The Essentials product combines two tools into one set:
the Credit Wizard™, which provides expert advice for
how to proceed with updating a borrower’s credit file;
and the Credit Analysis™, which translates the codes
and reasons transmitted by the credit bureau.
As interest rates begin to rise, and loan
originators focus on the service level they can provide
to prospective clients, credit scoring tools and resources
like those offered by CreditXpert will become vital. By
taking into account the borrower’s actual credit file
and coupling it with sophisticated scoring models, the CreditXpert
service provides users with highly efficient analysis and
recommendations.
Kim Soash of Progressive Lenders in Woodland Hills states,
“As a loan officer, I am committed to getting my borrowers
the lowest possible rate and the best possible terms available.
With this additional tool I am able to accomplish this goal!”
Informative Research continues to help its lending partners
earn respect in the industry, and learn more about their
borrowers in a short amount of time by offering resources
such as CreditXpert’s credit solutions.
