Newly Released Report Shows That Mortgage Brokers Predict a Positive Year as 2004 Continues to Carry the Momentum of 2003

According to Study Conducted by Informative Research, Mortgage Brokers Focus on Opportunities and Interest Rates

GARDEN GROVE, May 4, 2004 – A new report revealing that mortgage brokers foresee a strong 2004 was just released by Informative Research, a leading mortgage reporting agency. Written to provide comprehensive coverage of the mortgage broker’s perspective, “Gray Skies or Sunshine? 2004 State of the Mortgage Industry” elaborates on the ways in which industry activities affect the individual mortgage broker’s business. The “Gray Skies or Sunshine” report provides a deeper understanding of brokers’ interests for a variety of audiences.

This report contains three main areas in which brokers highlight their beliefs: a macro-view of the industry that includes external factors such as interest rates and legislation; a business-level section where brokers talk about how they position themselves in the industry; and a look at the community level that reveals the affiliations that help brokers develop their businesses.

“The National Association of Mortgage Brokers estimates that over 65% of all residential loans are originated by mortgage brokers. By taking the time to contact mortgage brokers and survey them regarding their plans for 2004, Informative Research was able to demonstrate our long-term dedication to mortgage brokers and the assistance they provide for homebuyers,” said Jeff Lau, Director of Marketing for Informative Research. “Over the last few years, we have focused on strengthening our relationships with top wholesale lenders in response to requests from our broker customers for expanded access and connectivity options. We undertook this research study as a way to validate our actions and ensure that we are providing brokers with tools for their success.”

On par with the long list of consumers hoping to purchase a home, mortgage brokers reported that interest rates are their top concern. Interest rates received first place when brokers were asked to list their top 10 issues for 2004.
